  • Binance withdrew its MiCA license application in Greece to refocus regulatory efforts elsewhere, forcing the exchange to prepare for a potential exit from certain EU markets as its remaining applications face strict new guidelines.

  • OSL Group successfully obtained an Australian Financial Services License, expanding its compliant digital asset ecosystem into the Australian market.

  • JPMorgan blocked Claude AI Access for Hong Kong Staff.

Product & Partnership Launches

  • PhotonPay launched PhotonPass, an instant account-to-account transfer service designed to streamline global B2B payments.

  • Anchorage Digital partnered with Binance to launch an off-exchange settlement solution for institutional crypto traders.

  • RedotPay integrated OpenPayd's banking infrastructure to enable seamless fiat-to-stablecoin payment capabilities for its users.

  • Reap integrated Circle's USDC and tokenized treasury solutions to enable businesses to settle global transactions using blockchain technology.

  • Airwallex launched AgentOS, a new platform feature designed to integrate AI agents into global financial operations and cross-border workflows.

  • Ping An Bank and Tencent introduced China’s first debit card tailored for AI consumption, allowing users to earn LLM tokens, GPU inference hours, and premium AI tool packages instead of traditional rewards points.

  • Ant International opened a new digital technology development center in Malaysia to drive regional tech innovation and fintech collaboration.

  • Tencent began testing its AI assistant, Xiaowei, within the Weixin app to enhance user interaction and provide smarter digital assistant features.

Financing & Acquisition

  • Airwallex announced a $320 million fundraising round alongside the appointment of former Bain Capital executive Pranav Sood as its new Chief Financial Officer. It simultaneously announced plans to expand its recruitment operations in Israel.

  • HSBC expanded its asset-backed growth funding facility for FundPark to $300 million to support cross-border e-commerce small and medium-sized enterprises.
