M&A - Banks and Financial Institutions
First Hawaiian agreed to acquire California-based TriCo Bancshares in a $2 billion all-stock deal that will create a bank with about $34 billion in assets.
First Bancorp agreed to acquire First Carolina Bancshares for $166 million, doubling its branch presence in South Carolina.
Italy’s Monte dei Paschi di Siena said Intesa Sanpaolo’s takeover bid undervalues the Italian bank as it continues evaluating a competing merger proposal from Banco BPM.
Catalyst Bancorp completed its acquisition of Lakeside Bancshares, creating a Louisiana community bank with approximately $620 million in assets.
Fulton Financial completed the operational merger of Blue Foundry Bank into Fulton Bank following its earlier acquisition of Blue Foundry Bancorp.
PSB Bank completed its operational merger with Bank Star, creating a Missouri community bank with more than $1 billion in assets.
