  • DBS partnered withFinLync to roll out plug-and-play APIs for corporate treasurers.

  • Buy2Sell, a Vietnamese ecommerce company, partnered withMastercard for cross-border payments.

  • Binance is looking to re-enter the Japanese market and is applying for an operating license in the country.

  • Moolahgo, a Singaporean multi-currency payments company, launched a product that lets users send money to Indonesian bank accounts.

  • PasarPolis, an Indonesian insurance startup, claimed to have issued one billion policies to 80mm customers till 2021.

  • StorePay, a Singaporean BNPL startup, launched its product in Indonesia.

  • Grabplans to launch its digital bank in Indonesia and Malaysia in 2023.

💰 Financing Announcements

  1. YAS MicroInsurance, a Hong King based insurance startup, raised $4.5mm.

  2. MXGlobal, a digital asset exchange startup, raised $1.6mm.

ACQUISITIONS:

  1. KakaoPay, the South Korean digital payments company owned by messaging company Kakao Corp. acquired a minority stake in OKPOS, a POS acceptance company that accounts for 40% of South Korea's POS payments market.
